Membership Benefits
Our mission is to gain and share knowledge of classical dressage. To achieve this goal, we offer our members opportunities to participate in ten schooling shows a year, with low entry fees to our members, and one AHSA/USDF Recognized Show, special programs consisting of various topics ranging from riders' Yoga and Tai Chi to lungeing. Some of the programs are free, others are subsidized by MDA. As a Region One GMO of The USDF, we pass on benefits of participating membership in USDF, and forward its publications to our members.

We encourage our members to grow by offering several mounted clinics a year. We hosted an annual USDF Adult Camp. We are fortunate to be located in an area with more qualified dressage instructors than any other area in the country, many of whom are MDA members. In addition, we publish a monthly newsletter to our members. Our book, magazine and videotape library abound with dressage guidance and excellent learning material. MDA generously rewards our members' achievements with cash scholarships, elegant trophies and service awards. Because of MDA's non-profit status,  members enhance their horsemanship and leadership skills through volunteering. Most treasured among our intangible benefits is the opportunity to meet and make friends with 300 other enthusiastic MDA members, at monthly meetings, pot luck suppers, picnics, and on a plethora of fun committees.
