Feb 15, 2013

MDA is pleased to announce a dressage clinic with FEI rider and trainer Julio Mendoza at Cedarcrest Farm in White Hall, MD on March 29 and 30. Each ride will be 45 minutes - $120 - that can be Julio instructing the rider, Julio riding the horse, or long lining lessons. Group rides are 45 minutes - $75 each - that consists of only 2 riders.  There is no mark up on this rate and no charge for auditors. Chairs and hot coffee are provided for you.  More extensive snacks and drinks provided by MDA in exchange for monetary donations.  MDA members may use 1 work credit for $10 discount per ride.

Please note that all current MDA rules apply (i.e. helmet rule, etiquette rule, etc.)

Julio Mendoza is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist and has been training horses for over 23 years in Dressage.  He participated in the Pan American Games (www.mendozadressage.com ) but he is also a fabulous instructor and works regularly with amateurs at all levels.

Cedarcrest Farm is equipped with a 90 X 200 indoor arena with new LiteFoot footing and expansive mirrors.  There is also a new outdoor sand and fiber arena for warming up that is 86 by 200.  There is gravel parking for trailers for participants.

Please reply via email to Barbara Dreyer of Cedarcrest Farm directly at bdreyer@connectionseducation.com. Call 410 -336 -8589 or email her if you need more information. Preference will be given to MDA riders and the distribution list is being limited for one week but then we will expand the invitation if we are not full, so please reply early!

You will be required to make payment (to MDA, Inc.) including original work credit if applied, provide proof of negative coggins (dated within one year of clinic date) and sign release forms before you ride. If you commit to come, then you will need to pay or find a replacement.

Cedarcrest Farm is located at 2600 Garrett Road, White Hall, MD 21161.  Directions for parking and times will be provided two weeks before the clinic.  Please specify which day you want to ride (Friday or Saturday) and if you prefer morning or afternoon.  We will not group riders so if you have two of you who want to ride together, please send both of your information at the same time.
