MDA End of Year High Score Awards for Senior and Young Riders
Championship, Reserve, and ribbons through tenth place where applicants warrant, will be awarded. Senior and Young rider horse/rider combinations that apply will be ranked based on percentages of scores achieved at MDA Shows (MDA Shows include Dressage at Heavenly Waters Licensed show, Region One Young Rider and Adult Team Championships and all shows listed in MDA's Omnibus).

  • First Level Divisions B (Tests 3 & 4) Senior and Young Rider
  • Second Level Division A (Tests 1 & 2) Senior and Young Rider
  • Second Level Division B (Tests 3 & 4) Senior and Young Rider
  • Third Level (Tests 1,2,3) Senior and Young Rider
  • Fourth Level (Tests 1,2,3) Senior and Young Rider
  • Musical Freestyle, FEI, Pas de Deux and Quadrille (TOC)
  • Senior/Young Rider awards at each level.

ALL WORK CREDITS MUST BE EARNED BY THE LAST MDA SCHOOLING SHOW OF THE CURRENT YEAR. Any work credits earned after that time will be applied to the following year. The applicant must earn two (2) work credits within the qualifying year. One (1.0) work credit must be earned by helping at a MDA show.

The applicant must complete the High Score Awards Applications accurately and submit to the Awards Committee Chair, postmarked by November 15th .

Tests must be from at least 2 different tests at the level (as designated above) at which they are competing except at FEI levels.

Tests Ridden Hors Concourse (HC) may not be submitted.

The horse/rider combination may not have competed more than one level above the level for which they are submitting scores.

A horse/rider combination who has won a championship in previous years (the same horse/rider combination) is ineligible to apply for the same division.

Introductory through Second Level, USCTA Awards: Submit five (5) scores for a horse/rider combination from at least three (3) different MDA shows under three (3) different judges. Scores must average 55% or greater. Exception: if an intro rider has won three (3) blue ribbons at the first three shows of the show year, he/she may submit those three (3) scores instead of the required five (5).

Third Level, Fourth Level, USEF, and FEI Level: Submit three (3) scores for a horse/rider combination from at least three (3) different MDA Shows under three (3) different judges. Scores must average 55%or higher.

Pas de Deux, Quadrille, and Musical Freestyle TOC: Submit three (3) scores for a horse/rider combination from at least three different MDA shows under three (3) different judges. Scores must average 55% or higher. For Musical Freestyle, the horse/rider combination may not have competed more than one level above the level for which they are submitting scores. Pas de Deux and Quadrille follow USDF rules. The level is determined by the lowest level horse on the team.
